Turns out, many of you want Fuck You Money.
But some of you are in denial. You haven’t accepted that money is BOTH the greatest source of defensive protection and offensive projection possible.
Like it or not, we live in a monetized world.
Securing more resources means more options. It means more time.
It means you are sovereign.
Even incredibly rich people who are supposedly powerful, people you no doubt admire (and may secretly envy) are entirely at the mercy of others.
Partners.
Investors.
Suppliers.
Platforms.
The list is endless, really. The “stakeholder universe” around these people is massive, and they all have expectations of return. Not just financial return, but they demand your bandwidth. A time return. Your time.
They expect your freedom. In exchange for golden handcuffs.
Gee, thanks… but that is not for me. It wasn’t for any of the successful people from yesterday (or today). It isn’t for my friends. And it probably isn’t for you.
The alternative is to build a sovereign life.
This is the start of a 4-part series on how to build a sovereign life. We’ll start with the philosophy behind this identity. Then we’ll get into what a sovereign person’s day looks like. Before long you’ll be building wealth engines and leaving the paycheck wage slave trade for good.
This is the sovereign blueprint.
It starts with taking control of your destiny.
Believe it or not, this whole “just get attention, that will take care of your money worries” mindset is DANGEROUS in the age of AI.
The Director’s Thesis
The “Creator Economy.”
They sold you a dream. The dream of the sovereign individual. The artist, the writer, the coder, the YouTuber… beholden to no one. Working from a laptop on a beach. Cashing checks for their “passion.”
It is a beautiful, intoxicating, and dangerous lie.
The “Creator” is the new factory worker.
It’s the new assembly line. It’s the new blue-collar job, dressed up in a hoodie and sold as liberation.
While you are celebrating your “authenticity,” you are just a well-paid artisan. And artisans are the first to be crushed by industrialization.
The AI industrial revolution is here. And it is going to wipe out the “creator” class.
Why?
Because the “creator” is paid for their labor. They are paid to do the work. To write the words. To edit the video. To code the function. To push the pixels.
This is manual labor.
It is a game of effort.
The new game is a game of leverage.
The market does not reward effort. It rewards output. And AI has given us a tool that can multiply our output a thousand-fold.
If your job is to “create,” your new competitor is a machine that does not sleep, does not get bored, and does not ask for a raise.
You are in a race to the bottom.
You will lose.
I told you in my last piece that if I lost everything, I would not “grind” my way back. I would not return to the 100-hour work week.
That is the old model. That is the “creator” model. It is a trap.
My blueprint was not about out-working everyone. It was about leverage. It was about systems.
The core of that system is a new identity.
You must stop thinking of yourself as a “Creator.” You must start thinking of yourself as a “Director.”
